HSSS's Mycology 101 teaches the basics of mushroom ecology

Basic cultivation methodologies are taught inside the classroom and in the wild. Tools, sterile techniques, and different types of fruiting chambers for growing your own gourmet, medicinal, and therapeutic mushrooms at home are learned and discussed.

The goal of this introductory workshop is to empower the new "fungi-phile" or the existing "myco-fam" member into further developing their connection to mushrooms in nature and the zen of home mushroom cultivation processes.

The goal is a successful fruited mushroom block.

Each workshop includes:

  • 2 hours of private instruction, reference material, and other resources

  • 1 Grow Kit (Colonized Grainspawn, Substrate (growing dirt), and fruiting chamber

  • Support through your first grow

This workshop is also available via Zoom and for private group events.
